On 25th April 2014, we hosted the Purple Ball of Hope 2014 in memory of my mum  Beryl Wainer who tragically passed away with the disease in August 2012 and to aid the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK which was set up in 2006.

The Purple Ball was the first for the borough of Tameside and there were lots of surprises along the way.  Our compare for the evening was Paul Crone who hosted the raffle and live auction on the evening to raise funds to support research into this terrible disease. We had an overall target of £5,000 to raise monies from activities and donations prior to the Purple Ball and on the evening and we smashed it at £6266

Entertainment on the night was provided by a host of magicians and the infamous Bobby Kemp and his 5 piece swing band.
