In remembrance of this beautiful lady and to fulfil her final wish my family and friends are raising funds to aid research into Pancreatic Cancer.
Some of you in my personal life know that I lost my dear mum Beryl Wainer to Pancreatic cancer in September 2012. The prognosis was only 5 short weeks before she passed away from this terrible disease. Not a day goes by without me thinking about her and how strong she was in her final days.
To the very end my mum was one of the most gracious people you could ever meet and she touched so many lives with her generosity and compassion and we miss her every day.
On the 14th April 2018 we held our fifth anniversary of the Purple Ball of Hope in memory of this inspiring lady and was on a mission to beat our previous years. To date we have now raised just over £30,346.02 for Pancreatic Cancer UK .
Well.. every year we need the vital funds to plough into research for this terrible disease and hopefully one day we will find a cure.
To many of us have lost loved ones to cancer, it can affect anyone and holds no boundaries, young and old, family members, friends and people who we hold dear in our hearts. Help us to help the people who dedicate their lives to combating this terrible disease. We are making inroads and every year the Purple Ball of Hope is continuing to raise awareness, gathering new sponsors, and increasing the monies we donate. Please help us to help those who need us!
Together we can make a difference. Start to look for your purple outfits and be ready to 'have a ball' as they say - we have in our first three years of running the event
